    Actor Gary Coleman died on May 28, 2010, at the age of 42. He was rushed to a Utah hospital following a fall in his Salt Lake City home. The fall reportedly resulted in an intracranial hemorrhage, or bleeding in the brain, causing the actor to slip into a coma. Coleman was on life support in very critical condition at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center and he died shortly thereafter. According to, Coleman's wife, Shannon Price, made the decision to take the actor off life support early in the morning, leading to his 12:05 p.m. MST death.

    Previously, Gary Coleman dead rumors circulated on February 26, 2010, following reports he had been rushed to a hospital after suffering a seizure. According to, Gary Coleman was not dead, however he did suffer a seizure while filming on the set of The Insider. Dr. Drew Pinsky, who was on set at the time, reportedly helped Coleman until emergency responders arrived.

    One week before his February 26, 2010, appearance on The Insider, he was on the set again, but stormed off after hosts repeatedly asked him if he physically abused his wife, Shannon Price.

    Coleman previously was hospitalized after suffering what he described as "a little seizure activity" on January 6, 2010, but he was later released.

  • Coleman is perhaps most well known for his role on the sitcom Diff'rent Strokes from 1978 to 1986. He portrayed Arnold Jackson, one of two children adopted by a rich widower. Coleman coined his trademark phrase "Wha'choo talkin' bout Willis?" on the television show.

    He went on to make a number of cameo appearances in films and television shows including Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1992, The Simpsons in 1999 and Dickie Roberts Former Child Star in 2003.

    Off the screen, Coleman married girlfriend Shannon Price in 2007 after five months of dating. Coleman has also been in the news for legal troubles, including an assault incident in 1998, as well as incidents of disorderly conduct in 2007 and domestic violence in 2009.
