What a terrible month it's been! First, the death of Judge Trev came as quite a shock back at the beginning of December. Now some more sad news, as we say goodbye to Captain Beefheart (Don Van Vliet).

I recall that the first album of his I played on Overflow, was way back on our first broadcast. It was a song from the unusually titled 'Lick my decals off, baby' from 1973. Though my personal favourite, has to be an album that Overflow's Tim Rice introduced me too many moons ago, 'Bluejeans & Moonbeams' from 1974. His 60's album 'Safe as milk' is another that has featured on many of our broadcasts over the years.
